About us
Old Peterite Lodge was consecrated on the 5th March 1947. The Lodge was originally founded to cater for the staff, pupils and alumni of St Peter’s School in York. We now admit suitable candidates without such restriction.
Old Peterite is a friendly Lodge which enjoys the traditional aspects of Freemasonry. Many of our members have gone on to senior status within Freemasonry, including one who became Provincial Grand Master for the Province of Yorkshire North & East Ridings.
We meet at the beautiful St Saviourgate Masonic Hall in the heart of the historic city of York.
We meet 6 times per year on the third Wednesday of the month in March to June, September and October, starting at around 18:45 and with the post-meeting dinner finishing by 23:00 (approx).
Our Installation meeting (when our new Master and his team take office) is in June.
